About us
A small workshop, honest work, furniture built the old way.
Royal Furniture is a family run workshop on Pirana Road, Piplaj. We make traditional Indian home furniture in solid sheesham and other Indian hardwoods, finished by hand and joined the way our fathers taught us.
Nothing on our floor is mass produced. A bed takes as long as it takes. A wardrobe is measured, cut and carved for the room it is going into. If you want quiet, sturdy furniture that will outlast the trend of the year, come and sit with us.

These are the pieces that leave our workshop most weeks. Every one of them can be resized, restained or recarved to your room. Bring a photo, a sketch, or just an idea.

How we build
From a rough drawing to a finished piece.

Come by, or send a photo
Walk in to the workshop in Piplaj, or WhatsApp us the size, room photo and carving reference. We will give you an honest price and timeline the same day.

Wood selection
You see the sheesham planks before we cut. We select boards for grain match, moisture content and heart wood, not for speed.
- 03
Cutting and joinery
Mortise and tenon, dowel and screw joinery. No stapled particle board tricks. The frame is what makes the piece last thirty years.
- 04
Hand carving
Traditional floral and geometric motifs, chiselled by hand. Or a plain finish if you prefer clean lines. Both are honest work.
- 05
Finishing
Sanded through five grits, sealed, then stained to your choice of walnut, teak or natural. Two coats of clear top coat for the everyday knocks.
- 06
Delivery and setting up
We deliver across Ahmedabad and most of Gujarat, carry the piece into the room, level it and touch up any transit marks before we leave.
Custom orders
Send us the drawing, we will build it.
About a third of what leaves our workshop is a custom piece. A bed that fits the length of a small room. A wardrobe wrapped around an awkward pillar. A carved temple in a specific size. A dining table long enough for a joint family.
You do not need to know furniture terminology. A rough sketch, a photo you like, or even a WhatsApp voice note in Gujarati or Hindi is enough. We will come back with a price and a proper drawing before we start cutting anything.
